This guide shows you how to make the most of "teachable moments" with media interviews following a fire when the public’s interest and attention are at a peak.

Quick Response Media Corps

The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) invites public information officers, chiefs, fire marshals, and others engaged in public education to join the Quick Response Media Corps. USFA will provide periodic e-mail bulletins with tips on media outreach and other support to this group of firefighters interested in taking a more pro-active role with local media, especially when those "teachable moments" occur soon after residential fire deaths.
